Kim Kardashian, 31, may look like one of the ladies Don Draper would salivate over on Mad Men, but she doesn't do anything for the star of the hit AMC series, Jon Hamm, 41.

"Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated," Hamm said about today's culture of celebrity — specifically reality television — in the upcoming issue of Elle UK. "Being a f***ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly. It's celebrated. It doesn't make sense to me."

But Kardashian isn't taking this hit lightly. She responded to the Friends with Kids star on her favorite platform, Twitter, using a levelheaded tone. "I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life," she wrote.

Kardashian's measured tone didn't stop her from taking at least one shot, however. "Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless," she added.

Last year British star Daniel Craig used the same choice words to talk about the Kardashians. "They're worth millions," he remarked, reports MTV. "I don't think they were that badly off to begin with but now look at them. You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f***ing idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?"

Hamm has not yet responded to Kardashian's defense. His latest movie, Friends with Kids, which he co-produced with director and lady love Jennifer Westfield, 42, is fresh out in theaters, and the highly anticipated return of Mad Men is less than two weeks away, on March 25.

I absolutely LOVE when celebrities comment on the absurdity of the Kardashians and their success.

I don't like anything about the Kardashians, but Kim was very classy in her response. I can respect that.
