Jolie Attends War Crimes Trial
Angelina Jolie attended the International Criminal Court in the Hague on Tuesday to watched the trial of Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga, who is charged with using child soldiers. Jolie, who is the goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency, has fought for protections for children in war-torn regions. "Using children in conflict is a heinous crime and destroys the very fabric of a society," said Jolie, mother of six children, in a statement. Lubanga, the founder of the Union of Congolese Patriots, pleaded innocent of using child soldiers from 2002-2003. (Photo: WENN)
