John McAfee, founder of antivirus software company McAfee, Inc., released a bizarre video for his personal blog, entitled “How to Uninstall McAfee Antivirus” on Tuesday.

In the video, McAfee begins by reading some profanity-laden hate mail that he has received from McAfee, Inc. users, despite having left the company 15 years ago. Instead of explaining how to uninstall the software himself, he turns to his “lab tech,” Bartholomew.

Before Bartholomew can finish telling users how to uninstall the software, McAfee, the “eccentric millionaire” as he is described in the video, finds himself rambling and distracted by drugs, guns and scantily clad young women – this is to poke fun at his rumored paranoia, drug habits and gun obsession, as well as his numerous decades-younger girlfriends. Mocking the frustrated McAfee software users, McAfee has a breakdown over the difficulty of it all. “Fifteen years ago I had some beautiful software and they took it over. I don’t know what they did,” he says frantically before shooting his computer.

McAfee’s outlandish video has gone viral, to say the least, having hit over 1.7 million views on YouTube by 5:30 pm Thursday.McAfee is no stranger to controversy. In April 2012, the Belize Police Department raided his property in Belize, and he was arrested for possession of an unlicensed weapon and unlicensed drug manufacturing. He was ultimately released without any charges. In November 2012, he was named a “person of interest” connected to the murder of Gregory Viant Faull, a neighbor and American expatriate found dead of a gunshot wound in Belize. When he was sought for questioning, he fled and sought political asylum in Guatemala illegally. He was placed in a Guatemalan detention center until December, when he was deported back to the US.
