Jerry Seinfeld hosted a mini-Seinfeld reunion on his interview show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, when he invited Julia Louis-Dreyfus to join him.

Seinfeld Reunion On Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

In Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Seinfeld interviews comedians, all while driving them around and plying them with coffee. For his season 6 premiere, Seinfeld invited his famous Seinfeld co-star, Louis-Dreyfus.

Throughout the 17-minute episode, Louis-Dreyfus and Seinfeld reminisced about old times, including revealing the first time they met when Louis-Dreyfus auditioned for the show. “I remember seeing you, and you were eating cereal that day. You were eating cereal and we were talking. I just thought, ‘he’s such a relaxed guy,’” she told him.

Louis-Dreyfus admitted that she loved the writing, but was convinced that it was so different from the traditional sitcom formula that it would never get picked up, saying, “I remember thinking this is so nice and relaxed, it’s got such a different vibe, it will never go.”

Seinfeld spent most of the episode giggling at Louis-Dreyfus, who held no punches while the duo drove around Hollywood.

“Do you think I’m nice?” Seinfeld asked at one point.

“I think you can be nice,” Louis-Dreyfus responded.

“Anybody can be nice! Hitler can be nice!”

“Well you’re nicer than Hitler.”

Louis-Dreyfus and Seinfeld enjoyed each other’s company so much, they decided to stretch their coffee date into lunch. “It is so fun to be reminded of how funny you are,” Seinfeld told his old co-star.

Louis-Dreyfus was the first superstar of many to appear on this season’s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. Season 6 will also feature interviews with Jim Carrey, Steve Harvey, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and Trevor Noah.
