Jenny McCarthy Opens Up About Her New Boyfriend

Honesty really is the best policy, or so Jenny McCarthy believes. The blonde model/actress/activist spoke up about her new relationship with former fitness model and Las Vegas pirate performer Jason Toohey.

"I have been so open and truthful in this relationship – it is amazing," she enthused to People. "If he wants Chinese and I don't, I say it. If he wants to go out and I want to stay in and watch Dancing with the Stars, I tell him so … Sometimes we both want to play poker and we have a blast at home." McCarthy, 37, who just released a new book called, Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance, has strong opinions on her love with Toohey, 35. "Our relationship is stronger because of the honesty," she said.

McCarthy was also frank about her recent split with actor Jim Carrey, 48. "I looked inside of myself and began to see what was wrong with me instead of blaming him for everything," she said. "I knew if I wanted to grow, I needed to make myself happy before I could begin to have an equal relationship with another man."

But so far, this new self-knowledge has worked out well for her. "I am so pleased with everything in my career and personal life right now," she said. "I am staying with Jason because I am happy. If that should change, I will simply leave. I trust my own happiness – and I will follow my own emotional guide." –AMY LEE
