Jamie Foxx is under fire for cracking jokes about Bruce Jenner‘s rumored transition while hosting the second annual iHeartRadio Music Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles.

Jamie Foxx’s Bruce Jenner Jokes

Foxx’s ill-received jokes about Jenner were delivered during his opening monologue. “We got some groundbreaking performances, here too, tonight. We got Bruce Jenner, who will be doing some musical performances,” Foxx said. “He’s doing a his-and-her duet all by himself.”

“I’m just busting your balls while I still can,” Foxx added.

On Twitter, people took Foxx to task for his joke about Jenner, who has possibly been suffering from gender dysmorphia for decades.

Jenner’s son Burt Jenner has also weighed in on Foxx’s joke. Burt not only found Foxx’s quips in poor taste, but indicative that Foxx used them in an attempt to stay relevant.

“I think he is just copying Kevin Hart because Kevin Hart is taking all his movie opportunities,” Burt Jenner told the Daily Mail. “The man is on a roll and Jamie Foxx is on the way down. He’s gotta keep his mojo going so he’s gotta copy what’s working.”

Though it was reported that Bruce Jenner was seeking an apology from Foxx, that rumor has been debunked.
