American Idol alum James Durbin welcomed his second child with his wife Heidi Durbin last Friday, Nov. 21.

James Durbin Welcomes Daughter

Durbin announced the birth of his daughter, Kinzee Cruz Durbin, on Monday to People. “Nothing compares to holding your brand new baby. She’s gonna be worth every sleepless night,” he told the magazine of the newborn. “We’re so thankful to have her.”

“We’re looking forward to even more laughter in the house and those silly baby expressions,” Durbin, 25, added.

Just as excited about the new addition to the family as Durbin and his wife is their 5-year-old son Hunter, who very much wanted to be a big brother. “He’s very excited,” Durbin said. “Since we spaced them apart from each other, Hunter will probably be a big help.”

The day after Kinzee was born, Heidi Durbin had taken to Twitter to hint at the good news.

Durbin finished in fourth place on the 10th season of American Idol. Since his stint on Idol, he’s released two albums – Memories of a Beautiful Disaster and Celebrate.
