Freida Pinto picked a feminine lavender number for the Desert Dancer premiere, which was held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City Tuesday night.

Freida Pinto’s Lavender Look

Pinto, 30, wore a pale purple Elie Saab dress from the brand’s Spring 2014 Couture collection. The skirt on the dress boasted volume, which was balanced out by sheer sleeves with floral lace detailing that continued through the bodice. The Slumdog Millionaire actress completed her look with the 18th-century inspired Anya Hindmarch ‘Duke’ clutch and taupe heels.

Get The Look For Less: Dress, Nordstrom, $258. Shoes, Zappos, $79. Clutch, Macy’s, $29.98.

Inside the screening, Pinto posed for a picture alongside costar Reece Ritchie, director Richard Raymond and some of the film’s producers. “Such a fantastic screening,” Pinto captioned a photomontage from the night.

Pinto also struck a pose with media personality Katie Couric, who’d turned out to see the film.

In Desert Dancer, Pinto plays a dancer named Elaheh, who battles a heroin addiction while helping Afshin Ghaffarian (Ritchie) realize his dream of starting a secret dance company in Iran, which had banned the art form.

Desert Dancer hits theaters in the U.S. Friday, April 10.
