Dancing With the Stars returned last night for a series of “Prom Night” themed dances that once again saw Kellie Pickler leading the rest of the stars.

Pickler and her pro partner Derek Hough performed a dazzling jive to “Footloose.” The dance earned her the night’s high of 25 points, and the title of Prom Queen due to her fans getting #promkellie to trend on Twitter. “Sharper than a samurai sword, “ said Bruno Tonioli of the performance.

The next highest score went to Disney star Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy, who earned an impressive 24 points from the judges for their Viennese Walz to “Que Sera Sera.”

Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko’s romantic Viennese Waltz was much improved from last week when the pair faced elimination. Victor Ortiz, who also would have faced elimination had Dorothy Hamill not elected to leave the show, gave a far more impressive performance. Ortiz took on a Contemporary dance to “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” with partner Lindsay Arnold. “Victor – you’re a dancer,” gushed Carrie Ann Inaba. “That was breathtaking.”

Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd did a Cha Cha to “Y.M.C.A” that received moderate praise from the judges. Andy Dick, who also did a Cha Cha, was loveably quirky to the sounds of “Do You Think I’m Sexy" as he was last week to the Lady Gaga hit.

Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson performed an intense Paso Doble. Jacoby Jones went shirtless for a sultry Rhumba. And Aly Raisman, who took on a Viennese Waltz, was on the receiving end of judge Len Goodman’s April Fools’ prank that made her believe that he didn’t like her performance. In truth, he loved it.

D.L Hughley got slammed by the judges yet again. Most likely noticing Hughley’s distress at the bad reviews, Inaba stepped in to offer encouragement. Although Hughley’s Salsa wasn’t good, Wynonna Judd’s Samba with Tony Dovolani to “Pour Some Sugar On Me" took home the lowest marks of the night. She received only 15 points from the judges.

Dancing With the Stars returns tonight with the results show on ABC at 8/7c.
