Brady Corbet, who stars in Antonio Campos’s Simon Killer, a film about a young man in Paris who spirals out of control, revealed to Uinterview in an exclusive interview his secret to selecting roles. “I’ve actually never chosen a job before because of a role, I only thought about making a movie,” Corbet, 24, told Uinterview. “I’ve been like, ‘I’m sorry, that’s not my area,’ ‘I don’t know how to do that,’ ‘I don’t think I’d be good at that,’ or ‘You’d be better off with someone else,’ or ‘I suck.’ But I usually get into thinking about who I want to work with. I’m into cinema history and actually making things for history; these things are important to me and I want to contribute to this medium, which I find at times transcendental and holy. I want to transcend this barrier as frequently as I can."

Whatever Corbet's decision making process is, it seems to be working. He has appeared in films such as Thirteen, Thunderbirds and Mysterious Skin, working alongside accomplished actors like Holly Hunter, Bill Paxton and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, respectively. He currently has a few projects in development, most notably a film adaptation of Paradise Lost opposite Josh Hutcherson and Benecio Del Toro.
