Bindi Irwin walked the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts Awards red carpet in Sydney on Thursday, looking glam in a trendy ensemble.

Bindi Irwin's Red Carpet Look

Irwin, 15, walked the red carpet in style, wearing a black and white patterned, long-sleeved dress with ankle-high motorcycle boots. She wore her long blond hair in loose curls and sported smokey eye makeup.

The daughter of the late Steve Irwin was accompanied to the AACTA awards by her mother, Terri Irwin. Terri Irwin wore a 20s-inspired, knee-length nude dress with black overlay. Like her daughter, she too opted out of heels, and paired her formal wear with black flats.

After the event, Bindi posted a video of her and her mother:

"The Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin died in 2006 at age 44 when he was stung in the chest by a stingray. Since then, both Bindi Irwin and her mother have continued the legacy he left behind. The two, who live in the middle of Queensland’s Australia Zoo, host Australian TV series Steve Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors.

"With dad, he was the ultimate wildlife warrior and we admired him more than anything," Bindi told E! News. "Dad honestly was incredible. We never got nervous about him with animals, but I do remember he gave me a piece of advice that has stuck with me forever. He said, 'You have to treat animals the way you wish to be treated.' Which is so true. And I think that applies to all animals."
