Amanda Knox Talks Murder Charge, Life After Prison
Amanda Knox, who was imprisoned for four years in Italy on charges that she murdered her roommate, Meredith Kerscher, is giving people a deeper look inside her ordeal.
"When Meredith was murdered and I was arrested, it was so shocking,” Knox told People. “It was paralyzing. Everything toppled."
Knox added that the anxiety still bothers her at times.
“Things creep up on me and all of a sudden I'm overwhelmed by the feeling of helplessness and that desperation and fear to even hope. Just that can make my heart race and makes me paralyzed until I can breathe it away."
Unfortunately, Knox, 25, may have to go back on trial after an Italian court overturned her acquittal in late March.
“No matter what happens, my family and I will face this continuing legal battle as we always have, confident in the truth and with our heads held high in the face of wrongful accusations and unreasonable adversity,” her statement read, according to The New York Times.
Perhaps Knox will offer some new insights in her upcoming memoir about the experience, Waiting to Be Heard, which will be released April 30.
