Amanda Bynes Only Has 'Hot Friends,' Doesn't Drink
Amanda Bynes, the 27-year-old retired actress, attempted to shut down recent rumors regarding her possible mental health or substance abuse issues in a recent interview with InTouch.
“I have no clue [why people say I’m insane]. Every time I’ve heard it, it came from an ugly person’s mouth, so I don’t care,” Bynes told the magazine. “The only ones lying about me having a mental illness are people I don’t talk to.”
Who is Bynes talking to these days? "I only have hot friends," she says, alluding to unnamed people who she claims will support her through anything. "They have my back until I die."
In reference to the speculation that she might be struggling with addiction, Bynes told InTouch that those suggestions are false. Despite the frequent pictures the former actress posts of herself getting ready to go out, and her inappropriate late night tweets, Bynes swears she's completely sober. "I don’t drink, I’m allergic to alcohol." She also shot down rumors that she smokes pot, insisting that the only thing she smokes is tobacco.
Over the last few months, Bynes has continually made headlines for her bizarre behavior. After her run ins with the law, she's been spotted stripping and fixing her makeup during group workout classes and has completely done away with her all-American look. Rocking long platinum extensions and cheek piercings, Bynes' has taken to tweeting her crudest thoughts about rapper Drake and her ongoing desire to weigh 100 pounds.
Although she still seems happy to be retired from acting, she might be looking to make a name for herself in a different art. “I’ll design clothes and sing because I want to, not because I need the money. I love singing and I can’t wait to start working on an album.” Previously, she's stated her musical superiority to ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi.
