Alanis Morissette and her husband Mario Treadway are being sued by Bianca Cambairo, a former nanny for her young son Ever, born in 2010.

Cambairo, who claims she was employed by the musical couple from August 2011 to March 2013, filed her suit on Sept. 26. She alleges that Morissette forced her to work grueling 12-hour night shifts without breaks or meals and refused to compensate her for any overtime.

In court documents, Cambairo states that she was hired as a nanny to work from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. three to four nights a week for $25 per hour, but often found herself working overtime without pay.

“Plaintiff was never, once, paid overtime, regardless of the schedule or hours she worked and was denied rest and meal breaks daily,” read the court documents published by Radar Online.

Cambairo alleges that Morisette and Treadway forbid her from leaving the child’s bedroom unless they were present or the day the nanny had arrived. She is reportedly seeking $30,000 in unpaid wages and an added $100,000 for emotional distress.

Morissette has yet to comment.
