Powerball At $600 Million, Continues To Grow

The Powerball jackpot has reached $600 million, with the majority of possible Powerball number combinations currently in play; only 20% of possible combinations have yet to be drawn. During tonight’s drawing, someone is highly likely to win the game’s highest jackpot.

The chances of winning the large prize are incredibly slim – 1 in 175.2 million. However, that hasn’t stopped people in the 43 Powerball-playing states plus Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands from purchasing a ticket and trying their luck.

In March of 2012, the Mega Millions jackpot reached $656 million. It’s like that the current jackpot will climb even higher before the 10:59 ET drawing on Saturday evening. Currently at $600 million, it would have a $376.9 million cash prize.

The drawing will be aired live tonight from Tallahassee, Fla.

Beyoncé, Jay-Z Expecting Second Child

Beyoncé and Jay-Z, music’s power couple, are expecting their second child, according to E! News. The pair had their first child, daughter Blue Ivy, a year ago.

Rumors about the “Halo” singer being pregnant were sparked earlier this month when she attended the Met Gala in a gown that seemed strategically cinched above the waist. The fiery pattern of the dress also made it easier for her to disguise a burgeoning baby bump.

Then, on Tuesday, Beyoncé canceled a Mrs. Carter Show tour stop in Antwerp, Belgium. Her rep had told E! at the time that she was “advised by her doctors to rest as a result of dehydration and exhaustion.”

Just a couple of weeks ago, the superstar revealed in an interview with ABC News that she was interested in adding to her brood. “I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister [to Solange].”

Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z has confirmed the baby news.

‘American Idol’ Recap: Candice Glover Wins Season 12

Candice Glover was crowed the winner of season 12 of American Idol during last night’s performance-packed episode, where Kree Harrison was named the season’s first runner up.

Before the final results were read off by host Ryan Seacrest, the two-hour show was filled with performances of Idol winners and finalists of seasons past. Jordin Sparks, whose win in season six was the last by a female on the show, returned as well as Adam Lambert, Bo Bice, Taylor Hicks and Kim Locke. The top five women from this season of Idol performed a medley of Aretha Franklin hits with the soul legend joining them by satellite. And, Jennifer Hudson did a duet with the would-be winner, Glover.

The bill also featured past and present American Idol judges, including Jennifer Lopez who performed her new hit “Live it Up” with Pitbull. Current judge Mariah Carey performed a medley of her own hits with Randy Jackson on guitar, and Keith Urban sang his new track “Little Bit of Everything.”

The Band Perry took to the Idol stage to perform “Done” with Janelle Arthur. Amber Holcomb returned for a duet with Emeli Sande on “Next to Me.” Psy wowed with his new single “Gentleman.” The top five male contestants (who were eliminated one after the other in the first five rounds of audience voting) returned for a medley with Frankie Valli. And, Angie Miller, the one-time front-runner of this year’s competition, performed “Titanium” with previous Idol runner-up Adam Lambert before her duet with Jessie J on “Domino.“

The night that marks Glover’s deserved win also marks the end of Jackson’s 12-season tenure on the judges panel of American Idol – the last of the show’s original judges. Nicki Minaj has also announced that she won't be returning next year, and rumors have it that neither Carey or Urban will be returning either. Along with a host of new talent for season 13, American Idol will be introducing fans to new (and hopefully improved) personalities in the judges’ chairs.

Jodi Arias Trial Update: Jurors Cry Listening To Travis Alexander’s Family Members

Jurors were left in tears after listening to the stories of loss from the family members of the late Travis Alexander, who was murdered by Jodi Arias in 2008. Arias, who was convicted of first-degree murder last week by these jurors, will soon have her sentencing decided by them.

In their gripping testimony, Alexander’s surviving family members detailed how their lives have been impacted by his gruesome death at Arias’ hands. Travis's sister Samantha revealed that their grandmother, who raised Travis, died around the time of the jury selection when her health continued to fail after her loss."Travis was the glue in our family," Samantha stated.

"Travis was our strength, our beacon of hope, our motivation," she added through tears. "Our lives will never be the same. [...] We would give anything to have him back."

Steven Alexander, Travis’s younger brother, revealed that following the loss of his older brother, he’s been hospitalized for ulcers and is now separated from his wife. He marveled at how his brother, who had survived both motorcycle and car crashes, could have died such a horrible death. "The nature of my brother's murder has had a major impact on me. It's even invaded my dreams," Steven told the jurors. "I've had nightmares about somebody coming after me with a knife, then going after my wife and my daughter."

Following the Alexander siblings’ testimony, the jurors were meant to hear from Arias’s character witnesses. However, after a delay, the judge announced that the trial was “unable to proceed.” It has been adjourned until Monday.

Aretha Franklin Cancels Upcoming Shows Due To Health Troubles

Aretha Franklin, the legendary diva and soul singer, has been encouraged by her doctors to cancel upcoming appearances due to her persistent health issues.

The singer, 71, has been forced to cancel at least two of her upcoming scheduled performances “due to her doctor’s recommendation for treatment,” reads a a statement on her Facebook page.

On May 20, Franklin was scheduled to perform at Members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the 24^th Annual Corporate Night. In her absence, Janelle Monae will take the stage. Later on in May, Franklin was to perform at the Foxwoods Casino in Massachusetts, but will be canceling that appearance as well.

Back in 2010, Franklin announced that her health required her to take an indefinite break from the stage for an undisclosed illness that left the icon in unbearable pain. The illness troubling her now has not been made public either.

Franklin performed via satellite on ‘American Idol’ last night with the season’s top five female competitors. Watch the video below:

Dick Trickle, Ex-NASCAR Driver, Dies At 71

Dick Trickle, a retired NASCAR driver, died on Thursday of an apparent self-inflected gunshot wound in North Carolina. He was 71.

A dispatcher in Lincoln County received a call earlier in the day in which the caller, believed to be Trickle, stated, “there would be a dead body and it would be his,” according to a news release by the country sheriff’s office. When the authorities tried to call the number back, there was no answer, reported CNN.

Emergency personnel were sent out to Boger City’s Forest Lawn Cemetary, and there they found a prone body lying near Trickles' pickup truck.

During his 31 years of racing, Trickle made quite a name for himself, winning two Nationwide Series races and earning 15 top-five finishes in NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup series. Prior to breaking through as a NASCAR driver in 1989, Trickle had won over 1,200 stock car races.

Due in part to his unique name, sports commentators on ESPN enjoyed giving him shout outs during NASCAR races. Former SportsCenter co-anchor Keith Olbermann tweeted, "no sports figure [Dan Patrick and] I had fun with took it more graciously. In fact, gratefully."

On Thursday, upon learning the news of the death of one of NASCAR’s biggest personalities, NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France described Trickle in a statement as "a legend in the short-track racing community, particularly in his home state of Wisconsin, and he was a true fan favorite."

Alex Hepburn Performs At LIFE Summit Before Cannes Film Festival [Exclusive Video]

Alex Hepburn, the British singer, gave a surprise performance at the LIFE Summit in the lead up to the Cannes Film Festival at the Hotel Du Cap-Farret in Abites, France.

Hepburn toured with Bruno Mars on his 2011 European tour, and released her debut EP in 2012. Last month, she released her debut full-length album, Together Alone. One of the songs on the album, “Under,” is based on the artist’s real life breakup. “When he left me I felt like my world was crumbling,” Hepburn told Uinterview exclusively about her former boyfriend. “And I literally felt like he was burying me in the song, and the song is called ‘Under’ and it’s about how I actually felt at the time.”

Hepburn, who gained recognition while touring with American crooner Mars, also spoke to Uinterview about wanting to come stateside for a concert. "Unfortunately I can't clone myself and be in every country," she said. “Hopefully, eventually the states, it’s one of my favorite places anyway so I can’t wait.”

“Under” peaked at #2 on the French music charts.

Steve Carell Returns For 'The Office' Series Finale

Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott on The Office, returned to the show for its series finale as the character that made him a household name. Who else would be Dwight’s best man at his marriage to Angela?

On Thursday, the NBC workplace comedy set at the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Co. in Scraton, Pa., aired its final episode, ending an impressive eight-year run. Carell, who was the series’ original star when it premiered in 2005, left the show in 2011 to focus on his film career. While it had been confirmed that other series stars who had moved onto other projects would be returing for the finale, including Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak, Carell’s appearance had been kept under wraps.

When Carell left the show after seven season of playing the hapless boss-man Michael Scott, the rating for The Office began to slip. The NBC sitcom, which was once pulling in as many as 8 million viewers during Carell’s time on set, was only getting about 4 million per episode last year.

"This is a perfect time for the show to come to a close," Rain Wilson said, according to Fox. "There's a finality to it and a sadness to it." And although showrunner Craig Daniels had said in previous interviews that Carell/ Michael Scott had already had the perfect goodbye, it appears as though he realized the show itself needed the man and the character back for the show to have its perfect goodbye.

Paris Hilton Attends Cannes Film Festival For ‘The Bling Ring’ With River Viiperi

Paris Hilton and her boyfriend River Viiperi walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. The socialite appears as herself in Sophia Coppola’s The Bling Ring, which premiered at the French Riviera film festival yesterday.

The Bling Ring is a ripped-from-the-headlines story about celebrity obsessed house burglars who tore through the Hollywood Hills homes of the rich and famous, making out with millions worth of items from Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and others. Coppola, after taking on the project, realized that Hilton’s home would be difficult to replicate on a set. The director asked Hilton, who was robbed a total of five time, if she could use her home to film.

Hilton was happy to oblige. “[They] stole millions of dollars of my things: Birkin bags, family heirlooms, jewelry that was in my family for years, and then they sold it on Venice Beach like a yard sale,” she told The Hollywood Reporter before the film’s premiere at Cannes. “I haven’t seen the film yet… I’m going to have to close my eyes for fear of seeing what they really did.”

Not wanting to make celebrities out of the young criminals featured in her latest directorial effort, Coppola wisely changed their names. The filmmaker realized that it was their communal desire for fame and fortune that instigated their banditry, and served to make them less than remorseful once caught and had their story blasted across the headlines. In fact, when meeting with a couple of the celeb-home burglars, Coppola said that the one of girls still wanted desperately to meet Hilton’s dog.

“Trust me,” said Hilton. “I would not have done it if [Coppola] weren’t directing. I didn’t even know all of what they did in my house till she told me about it.”

The Bling Ring is due in theaters this summer.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Recap: Katherine Gets The Cure, Elena Professes Love To Damon

The Vampire Diaries' season finale started off with Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) trying to rally those who died in the massacre to do something big for Graduation Day. Meanwhile, Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) were celebrating Stefan’s graduation and the upcoming apocalypse dancing at the Salvatore Mansion. Bonnie (Kat Graham) was somewhat less enthusiastic about the impending matriculation, suggesting to Caroline (Candice Accola) that they cancel it; she doesn’t want people to know she’s dead.

Elena (Nina Dobrev), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) hang out in the courtyard of the Salvatore Mansion eating burgers and fries. Elena begins to shed happy tears, but then she learns from Connor (Todd Williams) that Alexander (Paul Telfer) has Matt (Zach Roerig) standing on a bomb. Then Vaughn (Charlie Bewley) shows up and shoots Damon, relaying the message that The Hunters were in search of the cure and Silas. Stefan sneaks up behind him and rips his heart out before he can share Connor’s threat to harm everyone celebrating their graduation at the Mystic Grill.

Connor, strapped with explosives at the grill, is all ready to make good on the threat. But Alaric gets there in time to save the day. Just as Connor detonates the bomb, Alaric carries him off to explode a safe distance away from the bar.

Katherine, enraged that Bonnie has yet to deliver on her promise of immortality, threatens to kill Elena. Coming to Elena’s defense, Bonnie beings to crush her with a magical headache when students approach, breaking up the confrontation all together.

Back at the Salvatore house, Elena rejects Damon’s gift of the cure. Jeremy, resolved to Elena’s vampire status, says it's ultimately her choice. In any case, who’s really in danger at the moment is Damon. The bullet Vaughn shot him with was laced with werewolf venom and the wound isn’t healing. Elena tries to get Damon to take the cure so that he could become human and live, but he too rejects it.

Matt and Rebekah (Claire Holt), who had agreed to go travelling together after graduation, are trying to figure out what to do about the bomb. Matt claims that if she detonates the bomb he would have a shot at living because he’s wearing the Gilbert ring. She kisses him to lure him off the block and take his place because she knows that she can’t be killed. When she moves, the bomb goes off and everyone's okay.

Despite her worry over Damon, who’d left to go find Silas, Elena is forced to go to her graduation. She and Stefan meet up with Bonnie, Caroline and Matt. Bonnie eventually sneaks off with Kol who tells her about his army of ghosts. Meanwhile, Damon gets shot more times by Vaughn before Alaric snaps the villains neck and considers forcing Damon to take the cure. Damon eventually heals because Klaus has given him his blood.

After everyone knows that Damon is alright, Elena takes Stefan aside and thanks him for not giving up on her during her crazier days, and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) gifts Caroline with the return of her first love, Tyler. Then, Elena returns to the Salvatore Mansion and confesses her love to Damon, leaving Stefan completely heartbroken. Lexi catches him eavesdropping and offers a shoulder to cry on. He decides it’s time to leave, and Lexi helps him figure out where he wants to start a new life.

Since it was time for the veil to go up, it is officially revealed that Bonnie’s death saved Jeremy and she’s now a ghost. She makes him promise to tell Elena, who’s currently looking for her, that she would be staying with her mother. In her search for Bonnie, Elena runs into Katherine. The two duel and Katherine rams a knife into Elena’s neck, which Elena returns with a forced administration of the cure – Katherine’s now a human.

Another fight is ensuing between Stefan and Silas, in which Stefan gets staked through the stomach. Silas then thows him into a large safe and tosses it into the quarry. Will Silas now return to Mystic Falls in the guise of Stefan?

'Scandal' Recap: Olivia Discovered As Fitz's Mistress, Cyrus Suffers Heart Attack

Scandal ended last week with the gladiators of Olivia Pope & Associates discovering that former Vice President Chief of Staff Billy Chambers is the mole they’ve all be searching for. This week, in “White Hat’s Back On,” they’re still reeling from the realization and continuing to put the complicated puzzle together.

Quinn (Katie Lowes), who seems a bit unhinged, recalls that Billy (Matt Letscher) had murdered her boyfriend with a pair of scissors and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) realizes that Charlie (George Newbern) never went through with his request to murder him. A flashback informs the viewer that Billy weaseled his way out of the kill with the promise of confidential passwords that would provide Charlie with an arsenal of blackmail information. Huck is now determined to kill the mole himself.

Defiance congregates for a meeting of the minds in the White House kitchen, as they’re trying to figure out what to do about the incriminating Cytron card that’s gone missing. It's worth nothing that Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) shows up for the meeting.

Relationship drama also continues, as Mellie (Bellamy Young) is still desperate for a way to win Fitz back. Cyrus (Jeff Perry) attempts to convince her that she’ll get her husband in the end, but meanwhile Fitz is suggesting to Olivia (Kerry Washington) that they get married and she becomes his First Lady. So, there’s that.

While Rowan (Joe Morton) and Jake (Scott Foley) are discussing Olivia, she’s trying to figure out how to take out Billy with the Gladiators back at the office. They start to believe that Samuel Reston (Tom Amandes), the scorned Governor of Maryland who let his wife take the blame for his murder of the contractor she was sleeping with, has something to do with it. Olivia is confident in the theory; her gladiators not so much.

At the White House, Cyrus has a stressful meeting with Rowan. Then, Olivia informs him about Reston, who is at that moment in a meeting with Fitz telling him that he knows all about Defiance and the election rigging. Storming to the Oval Office, Cyrus grips his arm, takes a gasping breath and falls to the floor suffering a heart attack – an unlukcy fate that seems to befall TV Chiefs of Staff (Leo McGarry West Wing Season 6). Unlike Leo, Cyrus continues to work, attempting to control the Reston situation from his cell phone in the ambulance.

The Cytron card, which is currently in the possession of David Rosen (Joshua Malina), ends up in Billy’s hands. After avowing that Olivia and company are his friends, he seems to be ultimately won over by Billy’s persuasion and his almost annoyingly rigid moral code.

When Mellie go to Cyrus’s hospital room to see Fitz, Fitz tells her about his plan to marry Olivia. Mellie, who’s approval ratings are down after her public reveal of her husband’s affair, gets the news that Fitz has found a way to get what he wants and not look like a petty womanizer in the process. His plan: After dating women his age for a while, the public will then see him “reconnecting” with old friend and confidante Olivia Pope. Not a bad plan, actually, and Mellie seems to realize this.

Olivia almost ends up completely out of the picture, as a woman spotted earlier in the episode breaks through her door with a gun poised to kill. Just in time, Jake bursts onto the scene to shoot her dead and save Olivia’s life. He reveals he’s B6-13, which apparently rings a bell to Olivia, and then disappears. Olivia tells Cyrus she knows the attack on her life was to get her out of the President’s life, but that she’s going to be with him regardless.

Meanwhile, Quinn and Huck have teamed up to take out Billy. During some gruesome torture of the mole, Huck starts to have an uncharacteristic breakdown. Not to worry, Quinn’s completely up to the task and begins to drill into Billy’s head to learn the location of the Cytron card. It also turns out that David Rosen actually gave Billy a blank Cytron card, and did the morally reprehensible (yet, good friend/career move) thing of bargaining with Cyrus to get his job back as the DC District Attorney.

The finale comes to a close with Cyrus trying to break the Cytron card, Fitz calming Mellie down, David yelling at his new assistant, Jake getting tortured by Rowan (Liv’s dad as we now know), and Olivia, fresh off the latest dramatic conversation with the president and ready for a run. And then, she opens her door to a swarm of reporters asking about her affair with the president. Well, looks like Fitz won’t be able to put his master plan into effect – and it’ll have to wait until next season to find out who leaked the juicy news.

Season 3 of Shonda Rimes' Scandal will premiere in the fall.

Jennifer Hudson Returns To ‘American Idol’ Stage

Jennifer Hudson, who was eliminated from the final 7 of American Idol's season 3, returned to the singing competition to perform with Candice Glover, the night's eventual winner.

The two powerhouse vocalists took on Natalie Cole’s “Inseparable.” After Hudson and Glover teamed up to tackle the melody throughout the majority of the song, much to the judges delight, Hudson took a step back to let Glover finish it off on her own. “Sing it, Candice,” she said as she pulled back her own mic. The duo received a much-deserved standing ovation from the judges and audience alike.

Hudson’s elimination in season 3 was seen as premature by both the fans and the judges. However, Hudson has since earned a spot as a true star of the music industry. She’s gone on to win a Grammy and an Oscar for her turn as Effie White in the critically acclaimed Dreamgirls musical, in which she did the unthinkable in outshining Beyoncé. She also had the honor of performing Al Green’s "Let’s Stay Together" at the Inaugural Ball back in January.

Jewels Stolen At Cannes Film Festival, Valued At Over $1 Million

The Cannes Film Festival suffered a jewel theft on Friday morning, with over $1 million dollars worth going missing from a hotel room at the Novotel hotel, reported the BBC.

The stolen jewels were meant to adorn stars who are attending the legendary film festival on the French Riviera. According to police, the jewels, which belong to Swiss jewelers Chopard, had been in a safe in a hotel room rented by a Chopard employee. The thieves removed the entire safe from the hotel room wall.

Thankfully, the Palme d’Or was not among the stolen items, according to festival officials. The coveted prize that goes to the director of the film voted best by the festival jury is also made by Chopard. The Swiss jeweler is an official sponsor of the festival.

Julianne Moore, Lana Del Rey and Cindy Crawford were among the celebrities who had elected to wear jewels by Chopard on the Cannes red carpet.

Shia LeBeouf stars in Lars Von Trier’s latest project titled Nymphmaniac, and features prominently in a recently released “porn-inspired tableau” photo promo for the film.

In the photograph, LeBeouf is shown shirtless, trying to fix a table leg as a young woman straddles him in nothing but an unbuttoned cardigan and shorts, with a bottle of champagne bubbling over to the side. Emma Watson Film ‘The Bling Ring’ Premieres At Cannes

Emma Watson’s latest film, The Bling Ring directed by Sophia Coppola, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.

Watson, who plays a celebrity-consumed house burglar, discussed her evolution as an actress since the last film in the Harry Potter films wrapped in 2011. "I'm not trying to run away from it," Watson said at a Cannes Film Festival news conference on Thursday. "I'm very proud of the work that I did. [...] So much has happened over the last three or four years. But obviously it's very present in people's minds and living rooms."

What Watson is especially fond of in her post-Harry Potter days is the freedom that comes with not playing a much-beloved character from a world famous book series. "I am used to really having to stick to my lines. Because people really know them by heart," said Watson. "So it was lovely to ad-lib or improvise. It was really special."

The 23-year-old actress may not have had to deliver on the written lines, but she did have to deliver on her thick valley-girl accent, shedding her native British lilt. “I'm just really enjoying having the chance to transform into new roles," Watson revealed. And, transforms she does as the reckless daughter of a clueless mother (Leslie Mann) who makes off with the belongings of the rich and famous; it’s a far cry from the bookish do-gooder character that launched her into international fame.

Kelly Rowland Releases ‘Dirty Laundry,’ Confessional Single Referencing Beyoncé [Listen]

Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny’s Child singer, has released a confessional single in “Dirty Laundry,” which makes explicit references to Beyoncé and past domestic abuse.

It’s a subtle track in every way except for its lyrics. It’s a slow song guided by a slow piano melody and gentle percussion. "Dirty Laundry" is all about the lyrics, and the pain of living in the shadows felt by the woman who sings them. It’s admirably gritty in its barebones approach, and wisely complimentary of the brighter star of Beyoncé.

"When my sister was onstage / killing it like a … / I was enraged / feeling it like a ….,” she sings about the "Single Ladies" singer. “Went our separate ways but I was happy that she was killing it / Bittersweet, she was up and I was down / No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?"

When she sings about the abuse she faced, the lyrics read, "Hitting the window like it was me / And still it shattered / He pulled me out and said, 'Don’t nobody love you but me / Not your mama / Not your daddy / and especially not Bey.' "

Produced by The-Dream, the single is sure to gain attention, if only at first just because of its subject matter and candor. It’s the lead track off of her upcoming fourth album Talk a Good Game. Her last album was 2011’s Here I Am. Simply Deep, her best-selling album, was certified gold in 2002.

Jaden Smith Wants Emancipation From Will & Jada? [Watch]

Jaden Smith, the son of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, was rumored to want emancipation from his parents for his 15^th birthday. On the Ellen show on Thursday, Jaden and his father shot down those rumors with humor with host Ellen Degeneres.

"Here's the thing I need to explain. I'm not going anywhere," Jaden told Degeneres. "The thing that people don’t get is that everything at his house is free. So I can get anything and everything that I want at his house, so I think Imma be there for 20, 30 more years," he said to laughter. "But he [Will Smith] says as soon as I have a movie that’s bigger than one of his movies, then I have to get my own house."

The initial interview that sparked rumors occurred while Will was promoting their film After Earth in England. He told The Sun, “[Jaden] says, 'Dad, I want to be emancipated.' I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh." The comment, which was meant in jest, was reported as fact.

It’s no surprise that news outlets thought the movie star was serious when he was talking about his eldest child, as the Smiths are known to take a more relaxed view on parenting. "We generally don't believe in punishment," Smith told The Sun in the same interview. "From the time Jaden was five or six we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life."

Willow Smith, his 12-year-old daughter, made headlines when she was permitted to shave her head last year.

After Earth, starring the Smith father and son team, is due in theaters on May 31.

Kim Kardashian’s Electric Fence Traps Kanye West’s Lamborghini

Kanye West’s Lamborghini was struck by the electric gates that lead into Kim Kardashian’s Los Angeles abode earlier in the week, reported TMZ.

West’s $750,000 ride was being delivered to Kardashian’s house after undergoing repair services. The driver who was returning the Lamborghini Aventador LP was driving cautiously, and a bit too slowly, when the electric fence began to shut on the black vehicle.

The Lamborghini was hit on both sides before the fence retracted and the driver was able to pull it through to the driveway. Soon after the incident, the repair shop sent over a car detailer to the reality TV star’s house to access the damage and potentially buff out any visible scratches, according to TMZ.

Kardashian had purchased the luxury automobile for her rapper boyfriend as a birthday gift. The couple is expecting their first child this summer.

David Beckham Announces Retirement From Soccer

David Beckham, the iconic international soccer star, announced his retirement from the game on Thursday, after winning a league championship in a fourth country with Paris Saint-Germain.

"I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level,'' the former England captain said in a statement.

Beckham’s involvement in the fashion world and marriage to former Spice Girl Victoria Beckha, in addition to his prowess on the soccer pitch, has made him a global superstar. Throughout his storied soccer career, he’s won championships with Manchester United, Real Madrid, the Los Angeles Galaxy and most recently, Paris Saint Germain.

Beckham also made 115 appearances with the England national team – an all time record for outfield players. "To this day, one of my proudest achievements is captaining my country,'' Beckham said. "I knew every time I wore the Three Lions shirt, I was not only following in a long line of great players, I was also representing every fan that cared passionately about their country.

"I'm honored to represent England both on and off the pitch.''

Recently, Beckham played a major role in England’s attempts to host the 2018 World Cup. Although the attempt was ultimately successful, the English Football Association is keen to use Beckham’s star power in the future. Now that he is officially retiring, he is sure to have a more active role in the association. He has also recently become an ambassador for Chinese soccer.

"Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love, however I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead,'' Beckham said. "I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it's my time to give back.''

Beckham, his wife Victoria, and their four children are currently residing in London. His last professional game will be on Saturday, May 26 at Lorient.

Tori and Candy Spelling, the mother daughter duo who've been known to have a rocky relationship, was spotted making a concerted effort to put the past behind them at The Helping Hand of Los Angeles annual Mother’s Day luncheon, reported the Daily Mail.

Tori, who was named Mother of the Year, kissed and hugged her own mother at the Mother’s Day event at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Separated by 28 years, the mother-daughter pair shared dyed blond locks and heavy makeup, complete with dramatic lipstick. Tori, 39, was outfitted in a multi-patterned maxi dress, while her mother wore a turquoise pants suit

Much of the drama between Tori and Candy had to do with Aaron Spelling’s (Tory’s father, Candy’s husband) death in 2006. When he passed away, the TV mogul left an estimated $500 million to his wife, and just $800,000 to his daughter. The former Beverly Hills 90210 star had expected a more sizeable inheritance from her late father.

Tori, who turns 40 today, was gifted with a custom-made diamond Neil Lane ring from her husband Dean McDermott last week, the designer told People. It was for the couple’s seventh wedding anniversary.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Receives Messages Of Love, Support From Girls Online

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect, has been the subject of admiration for many teenage girls across the country who are adamant about the 19-year-old’s innocence.

“Dear god make me a bird so I can fly to jahar when he is looking out the window and stay there to give him comfort,” wrote one Twitter user. Another Twitter user relayed a conversation between her and her mother. After she told her mom that she loved him, the mother apparently replied, “U don’t know him.” She rejoined, “But our love is like the wind I cant see it but I cant [sic] feel it.”

Another girl on Twitter wants to get a tattoo of one of Jahar’s tweets. “Nobody understands why I want this tattoo,” she laments. “It’ll get people's attention. Maybe then people can open their eyes to what is happening.”

Psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere told CNN, “A lot of that has to do with the way he looks. He’s considered to be very handsome, very cute by girls. […] They see him as this very innocent individual, but at the same time being sort of dangerous.”

Hybristophilia is the name given to those who are attracted to notoriously dangerous individuals. It’s a phenomena that’s reemerged throughout the history of criminal activity – from Bonnie’s unwavering love of Clyde, to Scott Peterson and Ted Bundy fans and now, to the younger Tsarnaev brother.

Tsarnaev allegedly wrote a note on the inside of the boat, in which he had nearly bled to death in the Watertown driveway, that takes full responsibility for the bombings, reported CBS News. He is currently being held at a federal prison in Massachusetts.

Chris Rock, Eminem Collaborating On An Album?

Chris Rock started rumors that he was collaborating with Eminem on his upcoming album last week when he posted a picture of himself on his Twitter account with caption, “In the studio with Em don’t sleep.”

When Rock was asked about the possible collaboration, he did nothing but fuel the continuing rumors, refusing to either confirm or deny them. “Uh… I can’t really say,” he told Fuse.tv. “I was on the Kanye record, maybe I’m on the Eminem record,” he continued. “You never know.”

Rock was referring to his vocal cameo on Kanye West’s track “Blame Game” on 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

If Rock’s picture was just a hoax, it wouldn’t be the only one involving the Detroit rapper this week. On Thursday, a Facebook post circulated that read, “Rapper Eminem left nearly DEAD after being stabbed 4 times in NYC!” Reps for Eminem immediately refuted the post.

Eminem’s new album is expected to be released this spring.

'Arrow' Finale Recap: Two Merlyn's Die

Arrow left off last week with Digg (David Ramsey), Arrow’s sidekick, searching for an earthquake device that Merlyn planted in The Glades. Meanwhile, Arrow (Stephen Arnell) learns that Merlyn (John Barrowman) is the Dark Archer, which leads to a fight that not only knocks him out, but also reveals him as Oliver.

Last night, Arrow picked up with Oliver strung up with cuffs around his risks in a vacuous dimly lit room. Oliver unleashes some pent up vitriol at Meryln, who takes it all in the calm stride of a sociopath. “No one can stop what is about to come,” he sneers, after expressing doubt that Oliver could ever defeat him. Oliver then seems to have a flashback to the island where he frees Shado and Slade as Fyers attempts to have a passenger plane shot down.

Back in the present, Oliver outmuscles the chains that are binding him, pulling them out of the ceiling. He then uses the chains to neutralize all of the guards except for one. Just as it seems that Oliver will be defeated, the faithful Diggs rushes into the room and takes out the final guard. He’d found Oliver via the tracking device in his boot.

Det. Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is questioning Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), as he’s suspicious about her activities with The Hood. However, when Arrow/Oliver calls and fills him in on Merlyn’s plan to demolish The Glades, Lance leaves her to go inform his bosses. The police Lieutenant doesn’t believe his improbable story and suspends him indefinitely.

After an angry Tommy (Colin Donnell), who’s upset about Oliver and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) kissing, confronts him, Oliver tells him about his father’s plans. Tommy, disbelieving of the accusations, says, “I wish you would have died on that island.” Speaking of the island, there’s another flashback where Oliver manages to re-direct the missle, which ends up destroying most of Fyers camp.

After Oliver tries to guilt Moira (Susanna Thompson) into helping him stop Merlyn, she gets a call from the villain himself who informs her that The Undertaking is getting sped up to that night. Then Oliver gets a visit from Laurel, who wants to know why he’s being distant. They kiss and make up before he tells her he has to leave and instructs her to leave The Glades.

Chaos ensues when Moira announces Merlyn’s plan on TV. She ends up arrested for being a part of the plot, and when police attempt to arrest Merlyn, he takes them all out with a sword. Tommy, now without a choice but to believe the things Arrow/Oliver said about his father, tries to stop him from escaping with a gun, but Merlyn easily evades him. When Oliver and Diggs arrive at Merlyn’s office, they find him in his Dark Archer room. Oliver and Merlyn continue to fight as Oliver fires a bolt that Merlyn catches and has explode in his hand.

As their fighting continues, Det. Lance finds the earthquake device and Felicity attempts to talk him through disarming it – an attempt that’s ultimately unsuccessful. It seems as though Oliver will also be unsuccessful, as Merlyn is dangerously close to choking him to death. But when he mentions his plans to kill Oliver’s mother and sister, Oliver rams an arrow through his chest. Thankfully, Lance figures out how to disarm the device on his own just in time – but another device planted elsewhere goes off.

When the other device goes off, it leaves Laurel in a pile of rubble. Tommy rescues her and tells her he loves her as she escapes while the building collapses, leaving Merlyn’s son with a steel pole in his chest. Before he dies in Oliver’s arms he says, “I’m sorry.”

Arrow, which has been renewed for a second season, will pick up again in the fall.

'American Idol' Recap: Kree Harrison, Candace Glover Battle For The Title [Watch]

Kree Harrison and Candace Glover were the two remaining contestants on last night’s American Idol finale – the first all-female finale since 2004. As host Ryan Seacrest dubbed it, it was a battle between country and soul.

The show was comprised of three rounds, where each singer took on a song choice by show creator Simon Fuller, their potential “winning song,” and a tune they performed earlier in the season.

For the first round, Harrison gave a countrified performance of Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel,” while Glover sang “Chasing Pavement’s,” Adele’s first massive hit. Although both singers gave able performances, the song choices made it difficult for them to energize the audience. Judge Randy Jackson found that both of the numbers set a somewhat lethargic tone.

The potential “winning songs” were next. The one performed by the would-be winner will hit the radio shortly after their victory is announced. Philip Phillips' "Home" was one such song. For Harrison, that potential first radio hit was "All Cried Out." It seemed slightly out of range for Harrison, and despite its catchy chorus just didn’t seem to do her enough justice. Glover’s song “I Am Beautiful” also seemed a bit out of range, but it was easy to believe she could have a hit with it.

The final round brought the show to a close with a bang, with both Idol-hopefuls performing their favorite songs of the season. Harrison sang “Up to the Mountain,” a song she sang at the Hollywood round of the competition that launched her into serious consideration for the title. Glover revisited “I (Who Have Nothing)” by Tom Jones and did the unfathomable by one-upping her previous rendition of the song, accompanied only by a single timpani.

American Idol returns tonight on Fox at 8/7c to crown the winner of season 11.

CANNES REVIEW: 'The Bling Ring' Strikes With Brilliant Satire

Sofia Coppola's excellent film The Bling Ring, a smart send-up of celebrity obsession run amok, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. The film, which stars Emma Watson and relative unknowns Katie Chang and Israel Broussard, is based on a real-life gang of dim-witted L.A. teens besotted with Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox – not to mention their handbags and baubles. Bling Ring takes a wildly satiric tone unlike Coppola's previous critically acclaimed films Lost In Translation and The Virgin Suicides to excellent effect. Leslie Mann plays the mother to Watson and two other girls, whom she home-schools with a lesson plan inspired by The Secret. Watson's spot-on L.A. girl accent and mannerisms capture the inanity of their materialist world. With cameos by Kirsten Dunst and Hilton herself, The Bling Ring closes the meta-loop in this brilliant celebrity satire. —Erik Meers

Angelina Jolie Has Double Mastectomy To Reduce Breast Cancer Risk, Shares Story

Angelina Jolie, upon learning that she had an 87% chance of getting breast cancer, elected to undergo a double mastectomy. The actress wrote about her difficult and courageous decision in an op-ed for The New York Times.

Jolie began the medical process roughly three and a half months ago; by April 27, the mastectomies were complete. During this time, Jolie kept her operation to herself, but ultimately decided to share her experience. On Tuesday, her op-ed entitled “My Medical Choice”, appeared in the New York paper.

“I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy,” Jolie said in the column. “But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.”

Jolie, whose mother Marcheline Betrand lost her battle with cancer six years ago, carries the “faulty gene” BRCA1, which puts her at greater risk for both breast and ovarian cancers. Not wanting her children (Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Viv and Knox) to lose their mother as early as she did, she was inspired to take proactive preventative measures to lengthen her life.

Jolie, who has had breast reconstruction surgery that makes her operations nearly undetectable, is quick to state that she feels no less feminine. “I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity. I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices. Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of.”

According to Jolie, Brad Pitt, her husband and father to her children, has been nothing but loving and supportive. "We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer,” she wrote. “And it has."

Elizabeth Debicki Is ‘The Great Gatsby’s Breakout Star

Elizabeth Debicki, a Hollywood newcomer who hails from Australia, is being dubbed the breakout star of Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby, which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.

Debicki plays Jordan Baker in the film, the love interest of Maguire’s Nick Carraway and friend to Mulligan’s Daisy Buchannan. Baker is a professional golfer by day and flapper by night who mingles freely in the elite social circle of New York’s Hamptons in the 1920s.

"I still pinch myself," Debicki told Huff Post Entertainment about working on the film. "There's times in your life where you think, 'I have nothing to lose, so I'm going to completely do this thing and just enjoy it.' Which is probably the essence of Jordan in a funny way."

Debicki was cast after meeting with Luhrmann in Los Angeles for a whirlwind 48-hour trip in which she auditioned with Maguire at the Chateau Marmont. After a month of waiting, the 22-year-old actress received a call from the director. “Would you like to be in our little show?” he asked.

Now that her turn as the bold golfer has generated all kinds of buzz about her future in the business, Debicki is sure to have a number of opportunities in her future. "I don't know what to expect," Debicki said. "For me, that's the best thing about being an actor; when you're on the edge of something and you're not quite sure what it is. It's a motion that's going under you and it's exciting."

The Great Gatsby was an unexpected box-office hit, pulling in $54 million in ticket sales so far, placing No. 2 behind Iron Man 3 during its opening weekend.

Prior to taking on Jordan in The Great Gatsby, Debicki had only one acting credit to her name, a supporting role in the 2011 Australian film A Few Best Men.
