‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie: Gus Van Sant And Alex Pettyfer Have Insiders' Vote

Fifty Shades of Grey casting rumors have been popping up all over the Internet since the movie adaptation was first confirmed last year. With the screenwriter Kelly Marcel selected, and pictures of Universal Studios appearing on author E.L. James' Twitter, the rumors are only heating up.

As of yet, no official casting decisions have been revealed – not even for leads Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Top contenders to play the leading man include Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Matt Bomer (White Collar) and, most recently added to the list, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill. Meanwhile, Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Ashley Greene (Twilight), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) have all been suggested to fill the role of Ana.

In April, Bomer’s Magic Mike costar Alex Pettyfer, starred as Christian Grey in a sample scene directed by Gus Van Sant. The filmmaker shot the sex scene with Pettyfer and an unnamed actress to send to producers in an effort to get the job directing the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. The unsolicited sample depicted Anastasia Steele losing her virginity to Grey. Insiders say that Van Sant and Pettyfer have the inside track at the moment.

Until official decisions are announced, it can be expected that fans of the "mommy porn" trilogy will continue to suggest actors to play the couple in the “love story with a kink.”

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie is expected to hit theaters summer 2014.

Boeing Announces Plans For Stretch Version Of 787

The Boeing Company announced that it plans to launch a new stretch version of its 787 Dreamliner family – the 787-10.

Boeing made the announcement at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France, Tuesday morning. The 787-10 Dreamliner will be the carrier’s largest version of the jet, seating 300–330 people.

United Airlines plans to buy 20 of the new Dreamliners. “Advanced technology aircraft like the 787-10 are key to United's future, enabling us to fly fuel-efficient, customer-pleasing aircraft that are the right size for many long-haul markets in our unparalleled network,” said Jeff Smisek, United Airlines CEO said in a statement, also released Tuesday morning.

Others included in the launch group are Singapore Airlines (30 orders), British Airways (10 orders) – and two aircraft leasing companies – The Air Lease Corporation (30 orders) and GECAS (10 orders).

The announcement came just four days after the Airbus A350, the 787’s competition, took to the skies for the first time. The 787-10 is expected to be delivered in 2018 with its first test flight in 2017, though Boeing is not certain which company will receive the order first.

Boeing has stated that 787-10 will have a range of 10,000 nautical miles. This is the third version of the Dreamliner – the 787-9 is in its final stage of assembly, set to take its first flight this year.

The Dreamliners have had a troubled past – the original Dreamliner 787 was announced in 2007 and expected to fly later that year. Because of a range of issues, the first flight didn’t take place until 2009 and the first commercial delivery didn’t occur until 2011. Earlier this year, the worldwide fleet of 787s was grounded after battery fires on the planes of two Japanese carriers.

Despite these troubles, Dreamliners are still popular with airlines. One of the main reasons for this is its high level of fuel efficiency, which is due to use of composite materials and new engines. The 787-10 is predicted to be its most fuel-efficient model in the airline industry.

Sofia Vergara Bares Her Butt In Poolside Pic

Sofie Vergara, the Columbian Modern Family star, posted a revealing picture of herself to her WhoSay account, exposing her butt while lying on her stomach and wearing a pink thong bikini.

Vergara, 40, seems to be wearing little else but the thong bikini bottoms as she lays on the towel-covered poolside chair. In the risqué selfie, the actress wears a pair of sunglasses and her hair – a lighter shade than usual – is swept back in a ponytail. She captioned the photo, “Where @keegankillian and @luisbalaguer [her manager] cant find me!!!"

In another photograph, Vergara is captured sunning on the side of the pool laying on a raft, while her fiancé Nick Loeb leans on the edge of the pool to pose for the picture. Vergara has previously revealed that she’s frozen her eggs so that she and Loeb, 37, can have a baby when they’re eventually ready. She has a 21-year-old son from a previous marriage.

Since making it big on Modern Family, Vergara’s figure has been a hot topic, which Vergara never shies away from discussing. Talking about her chest, she’s said, "I mean, a normal girl will just put the dress on and leave. I need them to be like an armory," she told Vogue. "My dresses are like a work of art inside because, you know, I am 40 years old, I had a baby, and I am a 32F boob. And they are real still."

"When they are fake, you take the bra off and they are still there, perfect! Me—no, so I have to bring them up!" Vergara added.

Although her much-talked about top half is hidden in the bikini picture, her figure, for good reason, still manages to make the headlines.

Dan Harmon, ‘Community’ Showrunner, Calls Show's 4th Season ‘Like Being Raped’ – And Apologizes

Dan Harmon, the newly reinstated showrunner of TV comedy Community, ripped apart the show’s fourth season on his podcast “Harmontown.”

Harmon, who was fired from the show in 2011, began lightly enough, saying that the season wasn’t his cup of tea, but then got more vivid with his distaste. “There’s something awesome about having all of those preconceived notions kind of ripped away from you. It’s exciting. There’s something awesome about being held down and watching your family get raped on a beach,” he said.

Harmon – quite graphically – explained the problem was probably that the season four showrunners didn’t know what they were getting themselves into. “They went to Comic-Con, saw what was going on -- people dressed as spacemen and bananas and s---. Going 'Holy s---, I cut myself every night and watch Community! And they went 'F---.' And I think they tried their best.”

One specific aspect of the season Harmon strongly disliked was the show’s decision to hire James Brolin to play Jeff Winger’s (Joel McHale) father instead of Bill Murray. Harmon had always envisioned Murray playing the role, having given McHale’s character the same last name as Murray’s character in the 1981 film Stripes.

Harmon has since apologized for his comments on his Tumblr page. “I was very much not thinking about anyone but myself while watching that season, which was the crime,” Harmon wrote. “I hope over time you’ll forgive me. I wasn’t thinking about your contribution or describing it. I was just indulging my petty feelings about being left out.”

Henry Cavill Shirtless In ‘Man Of Steel’ Workout Video

Henry Cavill was filmed working out with his shirt off in a recently released video that show’s the Man of Steel actor getting in shape for the role of Superman.

During the video, Cavill is shirtless and sweaty, lifting kettle bells, barbells and dumbbells. He’s shown doing pull-ups and pulls a wheelbarrow loaded with heavy weights, interspersed with clips from Man of Steel and interview segments with the star and members of the National Guard.

“Mark [Twight] is probably one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met,” Cavill says in the video of his trainer. “He’s opened my eyes to seeing past what I thought were my limits. He’s a remarkable man, truly. He understands what I’m going through physically. He understands me because he sees what I’m going through as a person, which I think is what makes him such a good trainer.”

The workout video starring Cavill and his Man of Steel costar Antje Traue, who plays his birth mother Faora-Ul in the film, is a part of the National Guard advertising campaign called Soldier of Steel. The National Guard approached Warner Bros. to team up for the campaign, which uses Cavill and his character as the face of Soldier of Steel, Maj. Greg Galligan revealed to Mother Jones

Man of Steel opened last weekend, coming in first place at the box office, grossing 125 million.

Jared Leto & 30 Seconds To Mars Play On London O2 Arena Roof

Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds to Mars played an acoustic show on the roof of the London O2 arena on Tuesday afternoon.

30 Seconds To Mars, who are scheduled to play inside the O2 Arena on Nov. 23, played tracks from new album Love Lust Faith & Dreams, as well as some of their better known hits. The acoustic set is serving as a warm-up to the fall show, though it was only open to members of the press.

Up at The O2, the rooftop attraction at the site, celebrated its 1-year anniversary with 30 Seconds to Mars' performance. Up at The O2 serves as a walkway 173 ft. above ground that offers views of the Olympic Park, Thames Barrier, the Shard and Canary Wharf. Those who go on the expedition must where jumpsuits and safety harnesses, and are guided in groups along the walkway.

Bon Jovi was the last band to perform on the roof above the former Millennium Dome back in 2010.

30 Seconds to Mars will play nine concert dates in the UK this coming November, including the date at London’s O2 Arena. Meanwhile, Leto will appear in feature film Dallas Buyers Club with Matthew McConaughey, in which he plays an AIDS-afflicted transgendered person.

‘Falling Skies’ Recap: Crazy Lee Dies, Anne Thinks Daughter Is An Alien

Falling Skies saw enemy – but not alien – attacks, a possible mole within the resistance and a new vice-president on Sunday night’s episode.

Last week’s episode found an external human force planning an attack on Charleston. In Sunday’s episode, the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment prepared to defend the city.

Once an enemy sniper was taken down, President Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) found that the sniper was a human with no evidence of alien control. However, the enemy isn’t taken down before one of their own – Crazy Lee (Luciana Carro) – is shot. When the sniper’s bullet makes impact with her bulletproof vest, she’s forced backwards, head first onto a steel rod.

Tom and Dan Weaver (Will Patton) smoke out another sniper, but find her unconscious and unable to give them information.

Meanwhile, Maggie (Sarah Carter) comes upon Hal Mason (Drew Roy) packing up his things to leave, fearful that Karen Nadler (Jessy Schram) has him under her control as the mole gathering information about the resistance. However, Maggie insists she help Hal through his therapy and get past this notion.

Tom then checks on his wife, Anne (Moon Bloodgood), whom Lourdes (Seychelle Gabriel) believes is suffering from postpartum depression after finding all tests on their new baby normal. While talking with her, Anne reveals that she believes Alexis – their newborn daughter – is not human. Tom leaves Lourdes to keep an eye on Anne.

Tom appoints Marina Perlata (Gloria Reuben) to be his new vice-president following Arthur Manchester’s (Terry O’Quinn) death in last week’s episode.

No aliens appeared at any point during the episode – an unusual touch for the show – could they be waiting for their next opportunity?

‘World War Z’ Spoilers: Brad Pitt Takes On The Zekes

World War Z spoiler alert! Brad Pitt’s passion project, an adaptation of Max Brook's science-fiction novel of the same name, will feature a new kind of zombies that are even more fearsome than the standard undead depictions.

First of all, Zombies in World War Z are called Zekes. The viewer gets their first eyeful of the rotting creatures in the film as Gerry Lane (Pitt) and his family are trying to leave Philadelphia by car, but are stuck hopelessly in a grid of bumper to bumper traffic. The Zekes sprint (yes, sprint) through the throngs of cars and deliver flying head-butts to crash through windows to get their jaws on an intended victim. When Lane witnesses someone get bit, it takes but a few seconds for the human to become Zeke. Essentially, The Walking Dead's "Walkers" have nothing on these things.

World War Z has been criticized for being virtually unrecognizable to Brook’s novel, but one scene that was translated in the film adaptation was the breach of Jerusalem’s wall. The holy city builds an enormous wall all around its borders to keep out at the Zekes – an architectural effort that proves useful until the people inside burst into song. The singing agitates the Zekes outside to the point where they begin to clamber on top of one another, making a massive pile of hungry undead to scale the wall. Once over, it’s feeding time.

In the last World War Z trailer to be released, there was a glimpse of a scene of a zombie outbreak on an airplane. Spoilers indicate that a lone Zeke manages to get on the plane, and when a stewardess accidentally gives it passage to the cabin, a feeding frenzy ensues. One passenger then the next get turned until all of those in coach are infected. Lane, in business class, throws a grenade into the back of the plane. Naturally, the plane crashes; unnaturally, Lane and a friend manage to survive it.

World War Z, which also stars Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale, is slated to hit theaters June 21.

‘The Bachelorette’ Recap: Brad McKinzie And Zack Kalter Eliminated; Men Strip For Mr. Bachelorette Speedo Contest

The Bachelorette saw contestants Brad McKinzie and Zack Kalter eliminated on Monday night’s episode.

The episode began with a trip to Atlantic City’s The Revel Casino. Before the group date, McKinzie received the episode’s first one-on-one date with bachelorette Desiree Hartsock. They spent their date walking on the boardwalk and playing carnival games while the other contestants watch them from the window of their hotel room.

Hartsock and McKinzie then had a sunset bonfire on the beach, where they discussed their dating types and possible future. Finally, after an awkward dinner, Hartsock broke the news to him that there’s something missing between them and tells him she’s not giving him a rose.

Next came the group date, preceded by the date card: “I’m looking for my Mr. Right.” The participating contestants were Brooks Forester, Zak Waddell, Mikey Tenerelli, Ben Scott, Bryden Vukasin, Kasey Stewart, Drew Kenney, Juan Pablo Galavis, Kalter, Michael Garofola and Chris Siegfried. This left James Case as the recipient of the night’s other one-on-one date.

Meeting at Boardwalk Hall, where the Miss America Pageant was first held, the contestants competed in a Bachelorette Mr. America Pageant. Pageant coach Christopher Dean guided the contestants through their talent portion of the show. The (now formerly) reigning Miss America Mallory Hagan guided them through the interview portion – the swimwear portion was all their own.

Hartsock, Hagan, and the mayor of Atlantic City judged the pageant. Though most made it through the interview portion all right – with questions like, “If you could be water or fire, which would you be and why?” – Siegfried had a noticeable stumble.

The talent competition was more like a comedy skit than a serious talent show – aside from Waddell, who played a love song on the guitar for Hartsock, earning himself a rose. Finally, came the speedo portion of the competition. In too-tight swimsuits, the contestants put themselves on display. In the end, Stewart was named the winner of Bachelorette Mr. America.

In the episode’s final one-on-one date, Case and Hartsock toured the Hurricane Sandy-ravaged shore. Instead of finishing with a romantic dinner of their own, they gave their fancy dinner to a couple that lost their home in the storm and were celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary. Case and Hartsock ended up enjoying a dinner of pizza and beer. Over dinner, Case admitted to cheating on a girlfriend in college, but convinced Hartsock that he would never do it again. For his honesty, she gave him the date rose.

Before the Rose Ceremony, Vukasin expressed some doubts about him and Hartsock being right for each other. However, she convinced him to stay, telling him there’s great potential between them.

At the end of the Rose Ceremony, Kalter was the other contestant left without a rose and was sent home. Next week: Hartsock and the remaining contestants travel to Munich, Germany.

Chris Brown's ‘Don’t Think They Know’ Music Video Features Aaliyah Hologram

Chris Brown’s music video for new single “Don’t Think They Know," not only features vocals of late R&B singer Aaliyah, but also has her appear in hologram form as a background dancer.

The holographic images of Aaliyah, or rather projections, come from the music video for her Grammy-nominated 2000 hit "Try Again." The music video for "Try Again," directed by Wayne Isham, featured Jet Li and was inspired by Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon. It placed in the top 10 of BET’s top videos of the year.

Brown’s “Don’t Think They Know,” in addition to including his late musical inspiration, included a message of unity. Brown tweeted last week, "The new single is apart of my "UNITY CAMPAIGN" which encourages all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!" In the music video, Brown unites rival gangs the Bloods and the Crips.

"Don’t Think They Know" is the most recent single to appear off of Chris Brown’s forthcoming album, X, which will be released July 16.

Jimmy Hoffa Search Resumes In Michigan

Jimmy Hoffa, the late labor leader and teamster, disappeared almost 38 years ago after allegedly meeting with two organized crime leaders. A search for his remains continues in a suburb of Michigan on Tuesday, following up on a lead from mobster Tony Zerilli, reported WJBK Fox 2.

The search is underway in a lot in Northern Oakland Township that’s roughly 20 miles from the site of the restaurant where Hoffa was last spotted in 1975. Hoffa had said that he was going to the Machus Red Fox Restaurant in Bloomfield, Mich., to meet with a Teamster Boss and a member of the Detroit Mafia.

Hoffa was legally declared dead in 1982. However, it wasn’t until 2004 that law enforcement got a solid lead about the whereabouts of his body from a former mob hitman. The hitman and onetime close friend to Hoffa, Frank Sheeran, admitted to having killed him at a house in Detroit in 1975. Detective work found blood evidence at the house that corroborated Sheeran’s story.

Though Sheeran, at the time of his confession, claimed that Hoffa’s body was cremated, Zerilli claimed earlier this year that the former Teamster had been buried. He further stated that it had been their intention to move his body from the Northern Oakland Township lot, but the plan fell by the wayside. "Once he was buried here, he was buried and they let it go," he said, reported Fox News.

The current search for Hoffa’s remains is far from being the first. In 2003, police were tipped off to a backyard pool two hours north of Detroit; in 2004, to a Detroit home; in 2006, to a horse farm; and this past September, they took soil samples from a backyard in a suburban neighborhood, according to CBS News.

‘The Voice’ Recap: Michelle Chamuel, Swon Brothers Shine In Performances

The Voice’s final performances aired Monday night, with all three finalists shining in their own right.

But before the contestants could perform, all four coaches – Adam Levine, Shakira, Usher and Blake Shelton – came up to sing “With A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles, and pumped up the audience.

The first contestant performance of the night belonged to The Swon Brothers (Zach and Colton Swon). Performing “I Can’t Tell You Why” by The Eagles, they took a risk with a non-country, falsetto performance. They held their own, though, never pitchy or breaking. The emotional connection to the song – a signature of theirs – was palpable as Coach Shelton sang along.

As they ended, Shakira waved a “Go Okies!” flag to show her support. Levine explained that The Swon Brothers had told him the song was for him because of his connection and influence from The Eagles, and he approved of the performance. “You guys did an incredible job,” he told them. Shelton couldn’t contain his pride. “The reason that people can’t put their finger on exactly what it is they love about you guys – because you’re constantly evolving, constantly trying something new.”

Next came Michelle Chamuel’s reprisal performance of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Before she began, Usher explained in a video that he felt that performance was a pivotal moment in Chamuel’s time on The Voice. Chamuel performed with energy, strutting across the stage as she sang the pop song-turned-rock ballad. She even walked down to the coaches and sang directly to them. When it came time for feedback, the coaches had a hard time speaking over the roaring crowds. When given the chance to speak, many of them agreed that Chamuel had an energy on stage that couldn’t be fabricated.

The following performance was a duet between finalist Danielle Bradbery and her coach, Shelton. Preceding the performance was a sit-down with Bradbery’s parents and stepparents, where Shelton saw that she had a strong support system at home. The two of them then performed Patty Loveless’s “Timber, I’m Falling in Love” on a goofy and colorful set. With matching harmonies and a light-hearted performance, they got the crowd excited.

Shelton wasn’t done with his contestants yet – just as Usher chose a pivotal song for Chamuel, Shelton chose one for The Swon Brothers – “Danny’s Song” by Kenny Loggins – saying that the performance proved to people that they truly deserved to be in the competition.

Shelton wasn’t lying. Stronger than their initial performance of the song, The Swon Brothers delivered a heartfelt and emotional rendition with strong harmonies. Levine and Usher agreed that they did the song justice, and that they, as listeners, were able to get lost in the song. Shelton told them he was sure that back in Oklahoma some radio stations would be playing it, because they took it from classic to modern. “You took that song, you reinvented it. You introduced it to a new audience,” Shelton said.

The next performance was Chamuel again. There was yet another video from Usher, but in this one he praised her work ethic, talent, and discussed the friendship and connection they had formed as artists. “I found my diamond in the rough,” he said. “Who would’ve ever thought that a quirky girl with glasses would’ve taught me something?”

Chamuel performed “Why” by Annie Lennox. A slower and more emotional song than she usually performs, Chamuel still managed to infuse the grit and power people have come to know her for. She connected with the audience and didn’t lose herself among the dozens of background singers who joined her on stage. When it came time for the coach’s reactions, Shakira again showed her support for the remaining contestants, this time wearing fake glasses that matched Chamuel’s. Despite the goofiness, she had high praise for the singer. “That was beautiful,” Shakira said. “When you have humility on one side and talent in the other hand, that is the perfect combination; that makes the perfect recipe for long-term success.”

Before The Swon Brothers could get in their final performance, Shelton sat down with their parents. With them, Shelton learned that music was truly a part of their upbringing. Their mother revealed to him that as punishment, their father would send them to their room and not let them leave until they’d written a song. The Swon Brothers and Shelton performed together next. Singing Brad Paisley’s “Celebrity,” the three men clearly had a fun time onstage with the upbeat country song. They got the audience on their feet with their strong harmonies and bouncy beat.

Bradbery was next, performing the song Shelton deemed her defining moment – “Maybe It Was Memphis,” by Pam Tillis. With more power than her initial performance of the song, Bradbery connected with the audience and delivered an emotional reprise. With the control and pitch-perfect tone the coaches have praised her for since the blind auditions, Bradbery proved that she deserved to be in the final three – but Levine decided she would probably win it all. “I think Danielle’s the winner of this thing,” he said.

Next was a surprise performance by the top three, joined by contestants past. The top four contestants from each of the coach’s teams joined the final three, singing an emotional and fun rendition of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Screens behind them showed clips of the coaches and contestants from the past season – from the blind auditions to last week’s episodes.

After the group performance came Chamuel’s final performance, a duet with Usher – “One,” by U2. Before the performance began, Usher sat down with Chamuel’s mother and cousin, where he found out that Chamuel’s mother was a refugee from Egypt. Chamuel explained that she felt that her mother’s decision to leave Egypt meant that she was able to live the American Dream. Usher also discussed the friendship he and Chamuel have developed, saying that he’s not a teacher anymore. “I can just be supportive of the incredible individual that Michelle was raised to be,” he said.

The duet, which was risky given Chamuel’s signature gritty rock voice and Usher’s distinct soulful tone, was a surprising success. Their friendship was clear on stage as they worked off each other in a fun and emotional performance – Usher even took the chance to mirror Chamuel’s signature crouch at a pivotal moment in the song.

The final performance went to Bradbery, who sang Sara Evans’ “Born to Fly.” Shelton explained that he picked the song for Bradbery because the one thing she hadn’t done yet was a fully up-tempo song. Though you could see in her movements her efforts to keep up with the wide-ranging song, she kept up well and made the performance fun for the audience. “You are such an important person to music,” Shelton said. “I can’t say enough about you, Danielle.”

Charlie Sheen Reportedly Wants Selma Blair Fired From ‘Anger Management’

Charlie Sheen and Selma Blair are reportedly butting heads working on the former Two and a Half Men star’s new show on FX, Anger Management. After Blair voiced her issues with the tiger-blood veined actor to the show’s executives, Sheen got wind of it and demanded she be fired.

Blair apparently told the Anger Managment executives that Sheen was a “menace to work with,” had a “shoddy work ethic” and was perpetually tardy to filming, reported TMZ.

Not one to take insults or undermining quietly, Sheen reacted to the news of Blair’s complaints with anger. Not only did he rant that she was out of line, but belittled her work on the show – comparing the 40 pages of script he learns per episode to her 2. Some say that Sheen even went so far as to move to fire her.

In his tantrum, Sheen has reportedly refused to film his scenes if he spots Blair on set. He’s also already selected another actress to fill the void Blair’s absence would leave, pitching the idea of offering Mila Kunis $1 million an episode for a 10 episode arc. Incidentally, Kunis is the girlfriend of Ashton Kutcher, who is now the star of Two and a Half Men.

It’s uncertain as to whether or not Sheen will get his way in the matter. FX executives reportedly are hoping the tiff will smooth over, though Sheen has supposedly already sought support from the network in having Blair axed.

Miss Utah USA Video: ‘Create Education Better’ Answer Rocks Miss USA Pageant

Miss Utah Marissa Powell fumbled the interview question posed to her by panelist reality TV star-turned comic actress NeNe Leakes about income inequality during Sunday’s Miss USA competition.

“A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men,” Leakes began. “What does this say about society?”

Powell, 21, replied, “I think we can relate this back to education, and how we are continuing to try to strive … to….” After a pause that included a smile to the camera, as if to say ‘help’, she continued, “Figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem."

“I think, especially the men are… um… seen as the leaders of this, and so we need to try to figure out how to … create education better. So that we can solve this problem," she added.

The 5’ 8’’ brunette pageant contestant is an aspiring singer, according to her Miss USA bio. She’s a member of Utah singing group Geniveve and has sung the national anthem for MLS team Real Salt Lake. In high school, she excelled at volleyball, which she continued to play at Westminster College before she transferred to Brigham Young University. Powell has also had success modeling, landing in Fitness magazine among other publications. She is a volunteer at Primary Children’s Medical Center and is also an ambassador for the foundation Healing Hands for Haiti.

Powell’s rambling and incoherent response caused her to outshine the competition’s eventual winner, Miss Connecticut Erin Brady, in the aftermath of the show. It also led to #MissUtah becoming the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter, beating out both the NBA finals and Jay-Z’s announcement of his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail.

‘True Blood’ Season 6 Premiere Recap: Luna Dies, Tara Gets Shot

True Blood's season six premiere picked up where the season five finale left off, with Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) rebirth as the reincarnation as Lilith – the first vampire – as Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) watch on with terror etched on their faces.

As Bill begins to ravage the Vampire Authority Complex, Eric and Sookie take off in an attempt to evade his wrath, and soon meet up with Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Lucy (Nora Gainesborough) and Tara (Rutina Wesley).

Meanwhile, Luna (Janina Gavankar) is weakening by the minute, still suffering from shifting into Steve Newlin at the end of last season. Sam (Sam Trammell) tries vainly to nurse her back to health, as Luna makes him promise to take care of her shape-shifting daughter Emma when she inevitably passes. She dies shorting after her deathbed request, leaving Emma in Sam’s charge.

The group that watched Bill’s frightening transformation tries to figure out what to do with him. Nora is of the mind that any reincarnation of Lilith needs to be killed, but Jessica, who’s “called” by Bill disagrees. Sookie, Eric and Nora all go with Jessica to find Bill. When they confront him, Eric and Nora attack, leading the now stronger Bill to nearly kill Eric – but Sookie saves him with a stake through Bill’s back. Bill’s new powers, which include stopping things from falling with his mind and hearing Lilith’s voice, also include immunity to death by a stake to the chest. Bill then claims he isn’t a danger to any of them, but that he’s just a more powerful version of his former self.

After the excitement with Bill, Nora and Sookie are approached by Jason, who’s searching for the vampire who killed his parents. Jason thinks that Nora might know something about the vampire named Warlow and puts a gun to her ahead. Once again, Sookie comes to the rescue and sends Jason running. Eventually, Jason gets into a car with a stranger who ends up being somehow connected to Warlow. Before Jason can use him in any way, the man disappears and the car begins to head off the road.

Bill may be a threat to the vampires of Bon Temps, but he’s not the only one. Louisiana’s Governor Burrell announces that in the aftermath of the demolishing of the Tru Blood factories, vampires will now have a curfew that will require them to be inside at sundown and their business will be shut down.

In the Woods, Alcide (Joe Manganiello) takes a bite out of the corpse of the dead packmaster in order to take the position for himself. He then comes across two female werewolves who first fight for his affection, but then concede to a threesome.

While Alcide has his fun in the woods, Pam is feeling the pain of no longer having Eric’s attentions. Tara tries to soothe her as they had back to Fangtasia to no avail – all she wants is Eric. Unfortunately for Pam, her love life is the least of her concerns, as she soon gets notice from police that her business will have to close. Tara gets shot trying to defend Pam and Fangtasia.

True Blood will return next Sunday on HBO at 9/8c.

'Tan Mom' Patricia Krentcil Reportedly Admitted To Detox Facility

Patricia Krentcil, known as “Tan Mom,” was admitted to a detox facility Thursday according to E! News.

Months after releasing a rap single and photos of her sexy bikini photo shoot, Krentcil was allegedly intoxicated while at a Minneapolis airport. After receiving a call about an intoxicated passenger, police caught up with Krentcil, determined she could not take care of herself and transported her to a detox facility.

The facility could have held Krentcil for as long as 30 hours, though no report has been released confirming how long she stayed in detox.

Krentcil became publicly known as Tan Mom after she was accused of child endangerment in April 2012 for allegedly taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning both. The case has since been dismissed with all charges dropped.

Daytime Emmy Awards Honor Talk Shows, Soap Operas

The Daytime Emmy Awards, hosted by Robin Meade (Morning Express), A.J. Hammer (Showbiz Tonight) and Sam Champion (Good Morning America), aired last night on HLN and honored the best of daytime television – from talk shows to soap operas and game shows.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which had a leading 11 nominations, won for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show. Meanwhile, Dr. Oz won for Outstanding Informative Talk Show, beating out The Doctors, and Katie Couric’s show. Outstanding Talk Show Host went to Ricki Lake, whose program is now in syndication.

For the soap opera categories, the awards were spread out between those remaining on the air. Days of Our Lives took top honors, winning for Outstanding Daytime Drama. Doug Davidson (The Young and the Restless) took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Outstanding Younger Actor awards went to Kristen Alderson (General Hospital) and Chandler Massey (Days of Our Lives). The Bold and the Beautiful, whose writing team won an award, also saw Heather Tom win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Cash Cab’s Ben Bailey won for Outstanding Game Show Host, ousting reigning winner Jeopardy host Alex Trebek. However, the award for Outstanding Game Show went to The Price is Right.

There was a tie for the award for Outstanding Culinary Program between two Food Network shows – Best Thing I Ever Made and Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. Lidia Bastianich came out on top in the Outstanding Culinary Host category for Lidia’s Italy, which airs on PBS.

George Lucas’ Star Wars: The Clone Wars won for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program.

Serena Williams hit the beach in Miami sporting a printed bikini top and matching teal bottoms over the weekend, revealing her muscled physique.

With her reddish brown curls falling past her shoulders and designer shades, Williams emerged from the water after taking a dip to cool off. She covered up when leaving the beach in a geometric pattered sleeveless shift and cutoff jean shorts.

The tennis all-star is coming off a win at the French Open against Russian rival Maria Sharapova. Williams, who has been at the top of her game this year and on a 30-game win streak, easily handled the No. 2 female tennis player in the world. Williams, sister to fellow tennis star Venus Williams, has an impressive 16 Grand Slam titles. With the win at the French Open, she’s now just two Grand Slam victories behind retired tennis legends Martina Navaratilova and Chris Evert. Considering her improved focus and peak physical fitness, it seems likely she’ll soon overtake the current record.

Although she’s currently enjoying some much-needed R&R, Williams will be heading back to the tennis courts for Wimbledon, which kicks off on June 24 and runs through July 7. Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments along with the French Open, Australian Open and US Open.

Bindi Irwin, Steve Irwin's Daughter, Is Latest Victim Of Internet Death Hoax

Bindi Irwin, 14, daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, is very much alive despite rumors circulating the Internet that she had died last weekend.

Irwin is the most recent celebrity falling victim to an Internet death hoax as word began to spread on Twitter that the Australian teen had died. At the same time, the search term “Steve Irwin daughter dies” reached No. 4 on MSN’s hottest search list, reported Social Daily News.

Due to an increased interest in Irwin’s new film Return to Nims Island and a techno-snafu that mixed up queries on the younger Irwin with searches for her father who died in 2006, the incorrect term rose rapidly on the charts.

Irwin isn't the first victim of a death hoax. Last February when the hashtag RIPSouljaBoy began trending on Twitter, a false rumor quickly spread suggesting that Souja Boy had died.

Irwin took to Twitter yesterday to wish American dads a great Father’s Day. “I hope all the Dads had a wonderful Father’s Day in America,” she tweeted.

Wendy’s Fires Employee Devouring Frosty In Viral Photo

Wendy’s decided to fire the employee who was captured in a viral photo dispensing their famed Frosty dessert directly into his mouth from the franchise’s machine, reported Time Magazine. Like Taco Bell, the fast-food chain was unwilling to let a prankster goofing off with their product remain on their staff.

The photograph of the unnamed Wendy’s employee at the unidentified Wendy’s location was posted to Reddit last week. The Reddit user included the caption: “I was going to buy a frosty from Wendy’s until I saw the employee do this.”

"Obviously, the employee broke the rules," Wendy’s spokesman Denny Lynch said in an e-mail, according to USA Today. "He is no longer at the restaurant. The franchisee is meeting with the restaurant team to reinforce proper procedures. We have a daily regiment in each restaurant that stresses proper food-handling procedures. The manager follows a disciplined process. When mistakes happen, we try to respond immediately and take corrective action."

The Wendy’s viral frosty picture came at an unfortunate time for the company, as they’ve recently been actively promoting the milkshake-like dessert. For a Father’s Day charity drive for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption event on Sunday, they were pushing their new Frosty Waffle Cone.

Earlier this month, a photo taken at the Ridgecrest, Calif., Taco Bell establishment showed an employee licking a stack of hard taco shells. The employee in the photograph was subsequently fired.

Channing And Jenna Dewan-Tatum Share Father’s Day Photo With Daughter Everly

Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum introduced their 2-week-old baby girl Everly with a photograph posted to both of their Facebook pages on Sunday evening.

“First Father’s Day with my girls,” wrote Tatum, while Dewan-Tatum wrote, “First Father's Day with our lil angel!”

Dewan-Tatum gave birth to Everly, her and Tatum's first child together, on May 31 in London. During her pregnancy, she praised how Tatum had taken on the role of daddy-to-be. “Channing has been great,” she told Glamour. “He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, ‘Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I’m going to leave it up to you,’” she said.

The new parents met on the set of the romantic dance movie Step Up in 2006 and were married in 2009.

Channing, who is currently filming Jupiter Ascending in London with Mila Kunis, will next be seen in White House Down, which hits theaters June 28. Dewan-Tatum filmed a pilot last year for fantasy series Witches of East End that has yet to be released.

Jay-Z Announces Upcoming Album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’

Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay-Z’s upcoming album, will be released next month, the rapper announced during the NBA Finals.

Jay-Z made the announcement regarding his 12th studio album in a three-minute promo video during a break in the action of Sunday’s NBA championship game. In the video, featuring Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz and Rick Rubin, the hip-hop star says, “The album is about this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success and through failures, and remain yourself.”

"We don't have any rules, everybody is trying to figure it out," Jay-Z says. "That's why the Internet is like the Wild West. The Wild Wild West. We need to write the new rules."

Samsung has already purchased a million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail for $5 apiece to give away to the first million Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 owners who download a particular app, reported The Wall Street Journal The app will hit the app store June 24. Samsung’s bulk purchase alone will see Magna Carta Holy Grail hit platinum sales – making Jay-Z the first artist to have an album go platinum prior to its release.

Magna Carta Holy Grail is set to be released July 4. It’s Jay-Z’s first solo studio album since The Blueprint 3 in 2009.

Jeff Garlin Arrested For Felony Vandalism

Jeff Garlin, the Curb Your Enthusiasm star, was arrested and jailed for felony vandalism on Saturday in Los Angeles, Calif., reported TMZ.

Garlin had reportedly gotten into a heated verbal argument with another individual in a parking lot over a parking space. The enraged 51-year-old actor then allegedly smashed the windows of the Mercedes owned by the other individual.

At around 3 p.m. on Saturday, law enforcement official say they arrested Garlin in Studio City. He was released from jail early Sunday morning.

On Monday, Dealin’ With Idiots, written and directed by Garlin, was released in New York; it will be released in L.A. on Wednesday. The IFC film follows Garlin as Max Morris, a well-known comedian who looks for material for his next movie by getting to know the “idiot” parents and coaches of his son’s little league team.

Robert Kraft, New England Patriots Owner, Claims Vladimir Putin Stole His Super Bowl Ring; Kremlin Denies Allegations

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently stated that his Super Bowl ring was stolen by Vladimir Putin in 2005 when he was visiting St. Petersburg with a number of other business executives. Kraft had previously stated that he had given Putin the ring worth $25,000 as a gift.

Kraft explains his revision of events by claiming that the White House had insisted he continue to act as though he had given Putin the ring as a gift. Apparently George W. Bush's administration feared that if Kraft demanded the ring back, insinuating it had been stolen by the Russian president, it would be a blow for U.S.-Soviet relations.

At the Carnegie Hall’s Medal of Excellence gala at the Waldorf Astoria on Saturday, Kraft told his story to the gathered attendees. “I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin]. And he put it on and he goes, ‘I can kill someone with this ring,”’ Kraft said, according to the New York Post. “I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.”

The ring is currently kept at the Kremlin library, where other items given to Putin are currently on display. Putin, through his spokesperson, insists that Kraft’s Super Bowl ring belongs amongst the other gifts. "I was standing 20 centimeters away from [Kraft] and Mr. Putin and saw and heard how Mr. Kraft gave this ring as a gift," Putin’s spokesman told CNN.

Kraft, who has two other Super Bowl rings for other New England Patriots NFL championship victories, has not responded to the Kremlin’s denial of his charge. However, a spokesperson for the franchise owner said, "It's a humorous, anecdotal story that Robert re-tells for laughs," Pats spokesperson Stacey James said, according to NFL.com. "He loves that his ring is at the Kremlin and, as he stated back in 2005, he continues to have great respect for Russia and the leadership of President Putin.”

The spokesperson continued on with praise for the Russian president, stating, “In particular, he credits President Putin for modernizing the Russian economy. An added benefit from the attention this story gathered eight years ago was the creation of some Patriots fan clubs in Russia."

Farrah Abraham Suffers Nip Slip In Blue Bikini In Las Vegas

Farrah Abraham, the Teen Mom star whose recent foray into the adult film industry has made her a millionaire, had a nip slip while showing off her new boob job in a blue bikini at the Sapphire Pool & Day Club in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Abraham was hosting at the Vegas hotspot where she happily posted for pictures along the red carpet. Little did Abraham know, a bit of her nipple on one of her recently upgraded D-cups was visible during the picture taking. She got the breast augmentation earlier this month, just days after her 22nd birthday made it possible for her to switch to silicone implants from saline.

During the event, Abraham took to Twitter to tell her followers she was “drinking virgin” poolside where she commented on the “hot guys.” She later tweeted, “LOVE YOU VEGAS!”

Abraham’s latest boob job, which cost over $7,000, was her fourth time under the knife in three years. Aside from the previous round of implants, she’s had a chin implant and a nose job. Will she be seeking any more nips and tucks in the future? Abraham says it's not out of the question.

“What if I have a freak accident and I need something fixed, or if age gets to me, or I have more children and want a ‘mommy makeover’?” she told InTouch.

Erin Brady, Miss Connecticut, Wins Miss USA 2013 Title

Miss Connecticut Erin Brady was crowned Miss USA 2013 during last night’s live pageant ceremony.

Brady, 25, outshone the other 50 Miss USA contestants last night, including the first runner-up Miss Alabama USA Mary Margaret McCord. Hailing from East Hampton, Conn., Brady earned a degree in finance from Central Connecticut State University before finding work as a financial accountant. It was revealed during the show that Brady, who has struggled with alcohol addiction in her family, wishes to become an advocate for children of addicts.

During the interview round, Brady who listed cooking and bowling among her chief talents and interests, was asked about the Supreme Court ruling on the DNA testing of criminal suspects. She assertively responded, “I would agree with this. I think if somebody is being prosecuted and has committed a crime that’s that severe, they should have a DNA test. I think there are so many crimes going on in this world, that if that is one step closer to figuring out who has done it, I think we should absolutely do so,” she added.

Brady was passed down the Miss USA title from Nana Meriwether, who assumed the crown when original pageant winner Olivia Culpo went on to win Miss Universe. Last night, Culpo announced that the next Miss Universe competition, where Brady is set to compete, will take place in Moscow in November.

Hosting the night’s events were E! personality Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas, one of the members of the Jonas Brothers singing group. In the judges chairs sat TV host and R&B singer Christina Milian, reality show star-turned- comedic actress NeNe Leakes and fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

Nigella Lawson’s Husband Charles Saatchi Allegedly Choked Her During Lunch Fight

Nigella Lawson, the celebrity chef and The Taste host, was photographed eating outside at a restaurant with the hand of her husband Charles Saatchi, clenched around her throat.

Lawson, 53, in pictures taken by UK newspaper The Mirror, appears frightened and tearful across the table from the art and advertising mogul Saatchi, 70. The series of photographs show Lawson with a hand gripped around her throat and scared eyes, her nose pinched while she winces and standing outside the restaurant holding back tears.

Fellow diners at Scott’s in the Mayfair district of London noticed the hostile interaction between the married pair, and couldn’t believe what they were witnessing. "It was utterly shocking to watch," one patron told The Mirror. "I have no doubt she was scared. It was horrific, really. She was very tearful and was constantly dabbing her eyes."

Saatchi broke the couple’s silence on the incident in an exclusive with The London Evening Standard, the paper for which he writes a column. “It was a playful tiff,” he said in his own defense. “The pictures are horrific but give a far more drastic and violent impression of what took place.”

British police are reportedly looking into the incident caught on camera at Scott’s, although no official criminal complaint has been made, reported Fox News.

Lawson and Saatchi have been married since September 2003. Lawson had previously been married to journalist John Diamond, with whom she had two children, who predeceased her in 2001 after a battle with throat cancer.

"Happy Fathers Day" messages are trending on Twitter on Sunday, with celebrities counting among the thousands who took to the social media site to wish their dads and those of others a special day.

“Happy Father’s Day to my brilliant, kind, amazing dad, who still thinks I’m probably a little young to drink coffee,” wrote actress Olivia Wilde with the droll hashtag, “#dontlethimgoogleme.” Also showing his sense of humor was Scrubs actor Zach Braff, who wrote, “Dear Dads, thanks for fertilizing the egg with your seed.”

Going in a more poignant direction was John Stamos, writing, “Maybe i haven’t become a father yet cause deep down i know i could never compare to my own. hero, best friend, disciplined & hardworking.” With Ozzy Osbourne for a father, Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne tweeted, “#HappyFathersday Dad I love you so much & I am so proud to be your daughter!” “HFD to all the dads I know,” wrote Alec Baldwin before he too referenced his own dad, tweeting, “And, especially, to my own. Wherever you are.”

The Bachelor contestant and the ultimate winner of Sean Lowe’s heart, Catherine Giudici, took to twitter to write, “Happy Father’s Day to my beloved pappy and future one! And to the pops of our beautiful pups @SeanLowe09 :) Cheers to all the daddies!” Alicia Keys also spread the good wishes on Father’s Day, tweeting, “Fathers are so special! One of ones! I wish all of the beautiful fathers out there a special celebrated day! WE Cherish you!!! #FathersDay.

Lena Dunham, calling out the irony of Father’s Day wishes on Twitter, wrote, “Hey papa. You’re my best friend and my great inspiration and the luckiest thing that ever happened to me. I love you (and you hate twitter.)”

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Welcome Baby Girl

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are now parents to a baby girl after the Realty TV show star gave birth on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, reported E! News.

The child, the first for both Kardashian and West, was born a few weeks shy of the expected due date. Earlier this year, Kardashian stated that she was due in July. Although the sex of the baby was revealed during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians season premiere earlier this month, there’s been no word yet on their daughter’s name.

West, who announced the pregnancy back in December from a concert stage, seems to want to keep the new addition to his family out of the spotlight as much as possible. “I just don’t want to talk to America about my family,” the rapper recently told The New York Times. “Like, this is my baby; this isn’t America’s baby.”

Kardashian, with a hit TV show for a platform, hasn’t been shy about sharing her thoughts, or her rapper boyfriend’s thoughts, about their child together. "I'm so excited we're having a girl. Who doesn't want a girl? I think they are the best," Kardashian said during her 19-week checkup that was shown on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl."

The new parents went public with their relationship in May 2012 at the Cannes Film Festival. There, Kardashian and West were all about public displays of affection and letting the paparazzi snap away. Kardashian’s divorce from NBA star Kris Humphries was just finalized earlier this month. West has yet to pop the question to his longtime girlfriend.

Matt Lanter, ‘90210’ Star, Weds Angela Stacy

Matt Lanter, the 90210 star, married his longtime girlfriend Angela Stacy at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu on Friday, reps for the actor told People.

Lanter, who proposed to Stacy about a year ago, was hard at work planning the summer nuptials last month. "We're trying to figure out all of this crazy stuff about bands, and I had no idea there are 10 different ways to fold a napkin," Lanter told omg! Insider.

When talking about the day he popped the question, Lanter told Life & Style, "It was the happiest day of my life. It was amazing to do this in front of our closest friends and family."

Lanter and Stacy, who married in front of 145 guests on Friday, have been dating for three years.

Since 90210 ended its 5 season run this year, Lanter has moved on to new CW series Star-Crossed with Aimee Teegarden who formerly starred on Friday Night Lights.
